Troubleshooting

Occasionally you may run into errors while using EmcienPatterns.  Below are some of the common ones that can occur- clicking on the error will display more information as well as a possible workaround.

Cause: the type of file could not be detected by the filename.

Resolution:

  • Verify that the File Format is set to Auto or manually select the correct format. 
  • Make sure that the file name includes .wide.csv

Cause:  parse script was killed, most likely for using too much memory

Resolution

  • If using a VM modify the settings to increase the amount of RAM allocated for memory. 
  • Specify the number of lines to be processed using the Partial File Import setting instead of the entire file.

Cause:  Possible network connectivity issue or misspelled URI

Resolution:

  • Edit the Company settings in EmcienPatterns to verify that the Data URI is correct and try again.
  • Verify that the SFTP connection is valid using a 3rd party application such as Cyberduck or Filezilla.
